Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy S21 is to set launch in 14 januray and is one of the most important releases of the year. Thus, it has been majorly leaked over the past few weeks and we know that the S21 will pack a flat display .

Now, the most recent leak suggests that the Smartphone will flaunt a quad-sensor camera setup but will ditch the ToF sensor. A popular leakster, Ice Universe, recently disclosed that the Galaxy S21 Ultra would come with an ISOCELL HM3 sensor (108 MP), which will have a pixel size of 0.8µm, and the setup will have a laser focus module. However, there will be no ToF sensor.

For those who don’t know, a ToF sensor helps with depth details/bokeh when taking portrait photos or recording live focus videos. The Samsung Galaxy S20 launched earlier this year came with a 0.3 MP ToF sensor with an f/1.0 aperture.

However, experts believe that if Samsung is removing the ToF sensor, it has come up with another way of capturing the depth of field details.

Other leaks and rumors suggest that asides 108 MP primary camera, there will also be an ultrawide angle camera and a periscope telephoto camera. The fourth sensor might be another telephoto lens, as well.
