iPhone 13’s Satellite Communication Feature Will be Limited: Leak

Apple has announced a new launch event for September 14 titled ‘California Streaming’ which will be streamed across multiple platforms just like the last few virtual events. Although Apple does not explicitly mention it, it is safe to assume that the iPhone 13 is launching at this date, since September is the usual month when Apple launches new iPhones.

Apple missed its usual launch date last year due to production issues, but things seem to be back on track for 2021.

Here’s When Apple is Holding The iPhone 13 Launch Event

There is no official word on the iPhone 13’s specs, but we have heard consistent rumors hinting at a high refresh rate display, likely just for the Pro models. The notch is expected to be smaller than before with improved Face ID. The incremental camera and chipset upgrades are a given and the overall design of the phones will mostly be the same as before.

Rumors have also hinted at satellite communication support, which will let you make calls and send texts without a network connection but only in select markets.

We may also get to see a new Apple Watch and MacBooks at this event with next-generation M1 chipsets. As per tradition, Apple will also provide release dates for the next versions of its operating system including iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, and macOS Monterey.
