Honor hosted a major launch event in China yesterday where it announced a number of new products including Smart TVs, smart home products, IoT devices, and more. One of the devices on the list was an all-new Honor tablet dubbed the Honor Pad V7.
Upfront, the tablet has a 10.4-inch LCD with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. This is slightly smaller than the Pro model with a lower refresh rate. It has support for HDR10 as well as the Honor Magic Pencil 2 with 4096 pressure levels and 8ms latency. There is a quad-speaker setup with support for DTS: X Ultra surround sound.
The major changes are under the hood where you get a new MediaTek Kompanio 900T chipset with 6 to 8GB RAM and 128GB. The storage is expandable through a microSD card. In terms of software, the tablet comes with Android 11 with Honor’s Magic UI 5.0 on top that is optimized for tablets.
Battery capacity is the same as the Pro model at 7,250 mAh with support for 22.5W fast charging. There is a single 13MP camera on the back and an 8MP selfie shooter
The Honor Pad V7 will be available in Gold, Titanium, and Silver color options as shown above. It will have a starting price of $309 and will go for sale in China later this week.
There is no word on an international release yet.
