Samsung is all set to launch its most awaited Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy Z Flip at San Francisco on the 11th of February. This will be the second folding smartphone from the company; however, design-wise, it will be quite different from the previously launched Galaxy Fold. The smartphone, based on rumors, looks reminiscent of the recently launched Motorola Razr 2019.
Some of the key specifications of the smartphone were already made public, but recently, an infamous leakster, Ishaan Agarwal, tweeted all the key specifications of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip. Let’s take a look at what the new folding phone will have in store.
Design and Display
As mentioned, design-wise, the smartphone will be similar to Motorola’s Razr 2019. It will be built around a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display. Previously leaked renders revealed that the display will feature an Infinity-O punch-hole that will sport a single shooter for selfies. The display will feature an ultra-thin glass (UTG) and plastic film for protection.
Apart from this, for the notification display, the phone will sport a mini 1-inch screen near the rear camera system.
Overall, the device has a pretty bulky feel, and there are slight bezels around the display. At the back, it sports a horizontally aligned dual-sensor camera.
Internals and Storage
Internally, the smartphone, according to Ishaan Agarwal, will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset topped with 256 GB onboard storage. As far as RAM specifications are concerned, they are still unknown.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will run on One UI 2.1 based Android 10 OS.
Cameras
The smartphone will be equipped with a dual-camera on the back featuring a 12 MP primary sensor. Previously, it was rumored that it would come with a 108 MP primary lens. On the front, it is expected to come with a 10 MP single sensor.
Battery and Pricing
The battery specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip are not exactly known, but it could be fueled by either a 3300mAh or 3500mAh battery. The battery will be backed by 15 W fast charging.
Moreover, the Company has recently reported that the smartphone will be priced somewhere between $860 and $1300.
