Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to feature the company’s new 200MP camera sensor, but some reports say that it will use the same setup from the S21 Ultra. Tipster Ice Universe seems to agree with the latter but has also said that it will feature improved telephoto lenses.

He says that the S22 Ultra will bring two telephoto zoom lenses with 3x and 10x zoom by default. These are the same zoom numbers as the S21 Ultra, but these new lenses will be able to zoom further than before. The focal length, however, is still unknown at the moment.
These telephoto cameras will also have slightly improved sensors. These will be 12 MP sensors with 1.22 µm pixels, which is slightly larger than the S21 Ultra’s 10MP sensors. Both cameras will also have support for Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
The main camera will be the same with a few tweaks. It will be a 108MP sensor with 0.8 µm pixels, but it is unclear whether it will be the current HM3 sensor or a new one. It is expected to have improved OIS. The ultrawide camera will also reportedly gain OIS.
The selfie camera should be a 40MP sensor and it will not be an under-display module since Samsung’s first UD camera is only a 4MP shooter.
Just like the S21 series, the S22 lineup is also expected to go official in January next year. We expect to hear more detailed news by the end of the year.
