The IQOO 8 series is launching tomorrow in China as Vivo’s latest lineup of flagship phones. Just a day ahead of its launch, the brand has shared another teaser for the iQOO 8, revealing more of its features.
The teaser mentions that the fingerprint sensor on the iQOO 8 will work even if you have wet fingers. While the teaser does not specifically mention it, it is likely that the device will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
According to previous leaks, the base iQOO 8 will sport an optical fingerprint sensor and the ultrasonic sensor will be exclusive to the Pro model. This should be confirmed once the two phones become official.
These leaks mention a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with curved edges and 2K resolution for the iQOO 8 Pro. It will also have a 120Hz variable refresh rate. Under the hood, it will either feature the Snapdragon 888 or the 888+ with 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
There will be a 50MP main camera on the back next to a 48MP ultrawide sensor and a 16MP telephoto sensor. There is no word on the selfie camera, but the battery capacity will be 4,500 mAh with 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
It is unclear when the iQOO 8 will go global, but it is becoming official in China tomorrow.
