A mysterious new gaming phone from Asus has been spotted online. This unnamed Asus phone was seen on the TENAA certification platform featuring a flagship Snapdragon chipset.
The TENAA certification also revealed images for the device along with some of its key specifications. The images show a clear view of the back of the phone where you can see an Asus logo and the Snapdragon branding. You can also see a large main camera housing and a fingerprint sensor just underneath it.
Other than that, the listing also reveals that the device has a 6.78 inch OLED display and the flagship Snapdragon 888 chip. It will offer a whopping 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage space. It will boot Android 11 OS.
There will be a small 3840 mAh battery under the hood and the main camera setup will include a 64MP sensor and a 12MP secondary camera.
Interestingly, this mysterious device carries the model number ASUS_I007D, which matches the codename of the ROG Phone 5. This could only mean that a new ROG Phone 5 model is coming soon, perhaps with a cheaper price tag.
That is about the extent of information available, but we expect to hear more soon.
