Redmi, along with the Chinese variant of Note 10 Pro, unveiled its budget-friendly AirDots 3 Pro in China yesterday. The earbuds are a huge upgrade from their predecessor.
AirDots 3 Pro comes with active noise cancellation, wireless charging, and a low latency mode. These features are usually found in more premium earbuds.
Design and Construction
In terms of design, the charging case features a tall oval shape while earbuds themselves resemble the AirDots designs that we have seen in past versions. The charging case comes with a USB Type C port on the bottom with fast charging capabilities.
There is a small LED light on the front of the case to indicate low battery, and when the case is charging. The earbuds also have an RGB LED light each. Moreover, Redmi AirDots 3 Pro comes with IPX4 water repellent coating and are available in white and black colors
The AirDots 3 Pro features 9mm drivers and 3 microphones for optimal voice pickup and noise cancellation. According to Redmi, the earbuds support 35d noise reduction and even offer ultra-low latency of 69ms. The low latency is especially beneficial for gamers.
The buds pair to your respective device over Bluetooth 5.2 which allows for simultaneous connection to two separate devices.
In terms of battery, each bud packs a 35 mAh that is rated to provide 6 hours of playback. If you are using ANC, this will reduce to 3 hours. The charging case, on the other hand, features a 470 mAh cell for a total of 28 hours of usage. There’s a USB-C port for charging but you can also use any Qi-compatible charger for wireless charging.
Pricing and Availability
The Redmi AirDots 3 Pro will set users back by $47 and sales are scheduled for 11th June.
