Xiaomi’s co-founder recently confirmed that the company is working on its upcoming flagship and successor to the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro dubbed as ‘Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro’.
The Mi 9 Pro, launched earlier this year, is a common fan favorite when it comes to the Company’s flagship models. Even Xiaomi’s co-founder, Lin Bin recently posted on Weibo saying that the Mi 9 Pro is his favorite flagship model. That is when one of the followers asked him about his take on ‘Mi 10 Pro’ to which he replied ‘Second’. This means, that Mi 10 Pro will be his second favorite flagship from the company.
Even though this does not confirm any details regarding the upcoming flagship, it does confirm that the new flagship model is in the works.
Recently, two Xiaomi smartphones with model numbers M2001J1E and M2001J1C were certified by China’s 3C certification. Considering both smartphones have 5G support and feature 66W fast charging, it is safe to speculate that one of them is the Mi 10 Pro and the other one is its variant.
If other rumors are to be believed, the flagship will most likely come with a Snapdragon 865 SoC, a 108MP primary rear camera, and will run on the latest Android 10 out of the box. Just like Mi 9 Pro, it will most probably launch in February, which is less than three months away. Hence, we are expected to come across more details soon. So stay tuned.
