Smartphone makers are racing to release flagship smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chipset, the Snapdragon 865. Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi and a handful of others have already announced their upcoming top tier phones powered by said SoC, and now Nokia is reportedly looking to enter the ring as well.

Previously it was believed that the successor of the Nokia 9.1 Pureview would feature the Snapdragon 855 to rival the competition from current flagships. However, that rumor has now been debunked as a new report from Nokia Power User has revealed that the Nokia 9.2 will be arriving with the SD865 in the first half of 2020.

The report goes into detail saying that Nokia may team up with Toshiba to bring a stellar photography experience with the Nokia 9.2 Pureview. It might also carry a cheaper price tag to boost sales.

Another report claims that the Nokia 9.2 will have a bezel-less display, but it is unclear whether it will achieve this through a punch-hole cutout or a pop-up selfie camera. It is likely going to support wireless charging while omitting the headphone jack.

It may have a 48-megapixel front camera, but the configuration for the main camera is still unknown.

Additionally, the company is reportedly working on a foldable smartphone and may also reveal its first wearable at the MWC 2020 event. As for the Nokia 9.2, no precise launch date has been revealed yet but more information on that is expected to surface soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
